Your commitment to us

When you confirm your purchase you are accepting that these terms and conditions form the basis of a contract between Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Ltd (the Seller) and you (the Purchaser). No contract exists between you (the Purchaser) and Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Ltd (the Seller) for the sale of any items until your order has been received and accepted together with payment in full. Once cleared funds are received, this will form a binding contract between you (the Purchaser) and Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Limited (the Seller).

General terms

The information contained on our website and our booking system is believed to be correct. However, we are unable to accept responsibility for any errors or omissions and reserve the right to amend any part of our system at any time if such alterations are deemed to be necessary.

Social Media competitions terms

At selected times we may give away free products/services or prizes on social media. Winners from these competitions are selected at random using an online random comment picker tool. The winners are then notified by a reply to their comment on the social media post and will be requested to message us to confirm their acceptance. The prize must be claimed and used at the time it was offered, it cannot be passed on to anyone else or exchanged for any other product. We do not ask for payments and cannot be held responsible or liable for any fake accounts made in our name on any social media website.

Online security terms

To ensure that your online shopping experience is secure your credit/debit card details are encrypted on a secure server to minimise the risk of fraud and the risk of interception and/or interference, if you believe your card has been stolen or used fraudulently please contact your bank immediately and advise us accordingly.

Prices terms

The description and price of items you order will be shown on the Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Ltd website at the time you place your order. Prices are in UK sterling and are inclusive of any applicable taxes, once we have received payment in full there will be no further charges or changes to the price of your order.

In line with market values prices are subject to change without notification. The management reserves the right to alter, withdraw or change the price of any advertised products, services or facility without prior notice.

We accept most major credit and debit cards in partnership with our payment gateway.

Limitation of liability terms

Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Ltd.’s total liability for in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of this agreement shall be limited to the price paid for the goods.

The limitation on any exclusion from liability contained in these conditions shall be subject to the provisions of second 2(1) of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Ltd will not be liable in any amount for failure to perform any obligation under this agreement if such failure is caused by the occurrence of any unseen event beyond their reasonable control including and without limitation to Internet and communication outages, fire, flood, war or Act of God, postal/courier strike action, attempted delivery failures by our courier resulting in your order being returned to us once it has been fulfilled and dispatched.

All refund requests must be made in writing to admin@jobycarter.com within 7 days from the date of delivery.

Severance terms

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck out and the remaining provisions shall remain in force.

Cancellations of online orders terms

No refunds can be given for any situation beyond the control of Joby Carter T/A Carters Entertainment Ltd.

Workshops and courses terms

Courses are booked on a first-come first-served basis. You must have completed the booking form/followed the checkout process and paid the fee in full in order to be confirmed on a course. We require a minimum of 10 people to make the course viable, if the course is under-subscribed we will offer you a place on another course or, at our own discretion, we will offer a full refund.

Workshops and Courses Transfer Policy

If you are no longer able to attend a booked course you are able to nominate another person to attend the same course date in your place. This can be arranged up to 14 days before the course start date and will not incur any charges.

If you can no longer attend the booked course and would like to transfer to the same course on a different date, there is an admin fee applicable of £50.00. The transfer can only be processed and/or approved if there is sufficient space available on the requested new date. Please note you may only transfer your booking once, no further refunds, cancellation or transfers are permitted, and the full sum of the course will be forfeited. You can still nominate another person to attend the course in your place up to 14 days before the course start date without incurring further charges.

Workshops and courses cancellation and refund policy

To cancel a course booking you must inform us by email to: admin@jobycarter.com

If you wish to cancel your place on a course before the commencement of your chosen course we will refund you 90% of the fee UNLESS

You cancel within 15 and 28 days before the commencement of the course in which case you will be entitled to 50% of the fees paid or;
You cancel within 14 days before the commencement of the course in which case you are not entitled to a refund.

Virtual courses terms

Courses are booked on a first come first serve basis. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking in order to secure you place on this course. We aim during the next working day after the virtual course has finish to email you a download link this will be done after each and every session due to cloud space and storage space you have 48 hours to download this recoding before it is removed from the cloud so that we can record the next session. Sharing of downloads or download links to others is strictly prohibited. Booking a space on this course means that you agree to these terms.

Virtual course transfer, cancellation and refund policy

Transfers, if you are no longer able to attend a booked course and you are able to nominate another person to attend the same course date in your place this can be arranged up to 14 days before the course start date and will not incur any charges.

If you can no longer attend the booked course and would like to transfer to the same course on a different date there is an admin fee applicable of £25.00. The transfer can only be processed and/or approved if there is sufficient space available on the requested new date Please note you may only transfer your booking once.

Cancellations received within 14 days of booking your place on the course will receive a full refund. To cancel a course booking you must inform us by email to: admin@jobycarter.com

Cancellations requested after the 14-day cancellation period will receive no refund as you will be provided recordings of the live virtual workshop.
